A prayer for victims of war & terror:

Dear Father God,

I pray for all victims of war or acts of terrorism; for those who have suffered serious injuries; for those who have lost loved ones and especially for children who have lost parents; for those facing starvation; for those who have lost their homes; for those who have fled their countries and are now labelled as “refugees”; for those who live in fear and may have lost all hope of a secure future.

Father, please have mercy on them. Please show them that You are God of love and compassion. Please equip and guide those who are working to meet their needs and to bring healing and to restore hope.
I pray that not only will their physical and emotional needs be met but also that they will discover for themselves the hope for eternity which can be found in Jesus alone.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
