The world is eager to condemn but God is eager to forgive. And it is God’s forgiveness that really counts, for that secures our future with Him – for eternity.
We all deserved God’s condemnation because we have all failed to meet his standards. But God is full of mercy and does not want to condemn us. He sent his son Jesus, to take the punishment which we deserve. Jesus did that when He was condemned to death in our place.
But to avoid God’s condemnation, we have to choose to receive His forgiveness; we have to be ‘in Christ’, believing that Jesus died in our place and deciding to follow Him.
Try not to worry about other people judging you and condemning you. What is crucial is being sure that God will not condemn you. If you have never asked God to forgive you, will you do so now?
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…. (Romans 8:1)
The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. (Psalm 34:22)
Almighty God, I understand the choice I have to make. I turn to Jesus Christ now. I know that He has taken my punishment so that You will forgive me and not condemn me. Thank You.
